Children from different eras of history are taken from their families and turned into cyborgs, taught all sorts of stuff and sent back out to collect things for posterity and live on into the future.

So, this is a science fiction novel set in the past. Mostly, it's a story about doomed first love. But I've read other stuff by Baker, so I will probably at least try to find the next one.

Nero Wolfe tries to figure out why people associated with a certain manuscript are dying.

The thing where he gets everybody involved with the case together at the end of every damn story is beginning to wear on me.

A famous scientist was working on a secret project before he died. The project involved human children. Years later, events conspire to bring the children's situation to a head.

Not Wilhelm's best, but not bad either.

Jim Rockford retrieves a rich dude's Chinese snuff bottle. This leads to another case. Finding Barbie Lewiston should be a simple job, but it gets complicated--and deadly.

I remember The Rockford Files from watching it with my father when I was a kid. Had no idea there were books. This one is pretty good.

A bunch of suspicious deaths around a certain hospital have the police very confused.

Decent enough puzzle, but not very engaging as a story.
