Teenage boy named Leland climbs up a glass hill or something and puts the helm of knowledge on his head. Boom, something fucked up happens and he kind of goes crazy. Seems this thing put a whole extra personality in his head.

There is a whole lot in here about martial arts. Which is fine, I guess. There's also a lot of politics and war, which I couldn't help contrasting with K.J. Parker as I read. I know that isn't fair.

This is an okay read, and I was only mildly confused picking up where I left off about 5 years ago.

Collection of short stories about The Company and some kid with special abilities who I assume is tangentially associated. Most of the stories are good.

This is a series from the late 1970s to the mid-1980s about a girls' boarding school in England and all of the madcap hijinks that go on there. Like, get this: Rebecca is new in school and wants to make friends, but she hooks up with this girl who isn't a team player and that girl says malicious shit and also some older girl steals Rebecca's poem and publishes it in the school magazine under her own name!

It's all so damn.. wholesome. And kind of comforting, really.

Except the part where they are constantly hassling their "fat" friend.

But I thought I had seven of these and it looks like I have nine and I'm very confused right now.
