I really do not see what the cover has to do with this novel. Okay, a group of people are watching this guy through the miracle of magic surveillance. They see that he will die.
Meanwhile, the guy (conveniently named Guy) gets a really bad headache, is licked by a dog, changes his travel plans. Guy keeps avoiding his death. He's supposed to die, but doesn't. Meanwhile, he is trying to recover from the death of his wife, when he spots a woman who looks just like her.
Interesting enough that I read the whole thing, but mediocre.
