Conspiracies, F. Paul Wilson

So I had some Repairman Jack novels lying around and wasn't in the mood to read anything else.
In this novel Jack is working two jobs--the one that seems simpler is to stop this woman's husband from beating her up, and the other is to find some dude's missing wife.
To the missing wife end, Jack goes to a conspiracy convention that some evil dude is running for his own ends.
I have got to say that I skipped a lot of this book because it was tedious as hell. There were a couple of funny moments, but mostly it was a slog. Guess I'm not as fascinated by conspiracy theories as Wilson.
And the supernatural elements made like diddly-squit in the way of sense.
