Julie & Julia, Julie Powell
May. 11th, 2007 07:35 amExcerpt:
"If you could see Julie stuffing pepper and lard up the asshole of a dead pigeon," he wrote, "you'd realize how profoundly affected she's been already."
Feeling like her life is caving in, a woman suddenly decides to cook every recipe in Mastering the Art of French Cooking (possibly only volume one, not sure) within a year. This leads to money problems and strain on her marriage, but also makes for one hell of a book.
The account is funny and really hard to put down. I really enjoyed reading it.
