Just before the school year starts, Carrie is diagnosed with Tourette Syndrome. She finds it really embarrassing--and apparently so do her parents, as they try to pretend nothing is happening.

While some things in Carrie's life are a little too perfect, this was a good book.

Their first two daughters were beautiful, and traditionally the third daughter will outshine them both, so everyone was shocked when King Irwin and Queen Julia's daughter turned out to be ugly.

But Rose was a great kid, and everybody loved her, so it wasn't so bad.

King Irwin had banned wiseness, so Jasper shaved off his official wise man beard and became his fool. He could stand on his hands and tell strange jokes, and was constantly afraid of his intellect being discovered. Even Princess Rose didn't know, though they were good friends.

And everything went along happily, until the day Prince Parsley showed up looking for a bride. Rose was so blown away by how handsome he was, she immediately wished to be the most beautiful girl in the world. This of course backfired horribly, because Prince Parsley was incredibly boring and self-absorbed.

But if Rose backs out of the wish, the other fairy godmothers will take horrible vengeance!

Lots of fun to read.
