Five Go to Smuggler's Top, Enid Blyton
Aug. 27th, 2007 03:27 pmI got a book when I was about seven called Five on the Track of a Spook Train. I loved it. It was the only Enid Blyton book I saw during my childhood. I don't know about other countries, but libraries in the states don't seem to make her a priority.
Now that I'm older, the style is a bit much. Still, fun story:
Julian, Dick, George and Anne (and Timmy, of course) are going to spend their school holidays at George's house. But their first night, a tree falls and smashes in the second floor. So the kids have to go spend the rest of the time at the house of George's father's colleague. Luckily, Dick and Julian went to school with this guy's son. Unluckily, he hates dogs, and George won't go without Timmy.
Smuggling Timmy along with them causes a lot of trouble, and there's already weird stuff going on around the house..
