The Stoneware Monkey, R. Austin Freeman
Nov. 10th, 2007 01:04 amSome jewels are stolen, and a policeman is killed. Then a doctor is treating a patient who turns out to be suffering from arsenic poisoning. When the patient disappears, the doctor immediately suspects foul play, and findings seem to back that up.
Interesting, though some of the novel seems to be merely a platform for the author to express his disdain for abstract art.
Also, I figured out what was going on fairly quickly.
