Jen is the sort of person everyone gets along with. She's also the advice columnist for the school paper. When school administrators ask her to escort a movie star around the school--and keep secret who he is--Jen's life gets complicated really fast.

I keep feeling like I should make excuses about reading Cabot, and you know what? Fuck that. She's a good writer, and I like her.

Isolated stories from the comic book series. Mostly shock value, really.

I have some problems with this comic, like even though it's for "mature readers," all swear words worse than "damn" are censored.

Also, the art sucks sometimes:

My biggest problem, though, is that I like it. This is a violent and funny comic, and it's written by Warren Ellis, who is pretty awesome.

So the story is about a superhero team who find out they're being paid by terrorists and go rogue. Having found their opponents' business plan, the team flies around trying to stop various super-powered threats like the one in this excerpt:
Nextwave: saving us from giant sexually frustrated lizards in their underwear.

A librarian protects his library and its books from various supernatural and interstellar threats.

This should be cooler than it is. I think there's just too much talking and not enough action.
