Fun adventure about a kid in a fairy tale land who gets knocked over by a girl falling from the sky. Her t-shirt says "punk princess," so he thinks she's a princess he has to help with a quest.

This is pretty standard "fairy tales are real" stuff, but enjoyable.

Stewart Hoag is ghostwriting a memoir for a reclusive rock star when people around him start getting killed.

I had some real problems with this book, the biggest of which is nobody giving a shit about the guy in his forties banging the mixed-up 16 year old girl. Ugh.

I didn't figure out who the killer was tho.

[Spoilers for rest of trilogy!]

Shaun is hiding out with some scientists who are studying his immunity to the zombie virus. The clone of his sister gets to escape the lab where they're holding her, and the two meet up.

Then I learned something that was probably foreshadowed but I was ignoring. This thing is played off as minor but kind of ruined my enjoyment of the rest of the book.

In an almost-abandoned mining town, Arley is running a boarding house. When a stranger comes around and starts buying up useless mines, Arley is suspicious.

Ferris is pretty much incapable of writing a book with no love story, but I loved this anyway.

Locke is an orphan with a talent for thievery. The problem is, his enthusiasm for clever plans can get people killed.

When he's a child, Locke's first boss hands him off to a religious order of thieves..

I really, really liked this book. You should read it.

A bunch of people are trapped in a theater with an alien entity. Only some teenagers on a field trip are free to fight.

Your basic Puppet Masters rip off, but decent reading.
